SVID, Swedish Industrial Design Foundation, has been working since 1989 to disseminate knowledge about design as a force for development and a competitive device.

Almost all companies and organisations want to provide their customers with attractive offers, however, many of them lack the methods to do so. Design is an operational process for development based on the customer’s needs, irrespective of whether it involves goods, services, processes, messages or environments that are being developed.

SVID work to ensure that design is used in all work on innovation and change. Putting the user at the centre of development means that what is offered is fantastic and attractive. It benefits companies, public services, society and Sweden. But above all it benefits the user.
