The second Circular Design internship has been successfully completed on June 20th. The teams have exceeded the expectations on the design solutions and received a positive feedback hence the clients are now looking for ways to give continuity to the project outcomes.
As a part of Learning for Innovative Design for Sustainability (L4IDS) Erasmus+ Knowledge Alliance project, the Circular Design internship took place between 9th of February and 20th of June, 2018 in School of Engineering of Vilanova i la Geltrú of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).
The interns with a multidisciplinary backgrounds from School of Design of University of Limerick in Ireland, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Spain, NHL University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, and Linköping University in Sweden, were divided in three teams to work with three Barcelona-based clients: Waste management in municipalities with ENT (Vilanova i la Geltrú), Selective separation of waste with the hosting university project UPC Recircula, and Material Innovation with Zicla (Barcelona).
